Rules for Radicals and How the Bottom Fell out of the American Dream

The Country is ripe for the picking, Saul Alinsky, community organizer and writer is probably throwing a block party in his grave right now.  Barack Obama could not have hoped for a better political environment for his ideology.  The crash of the stock market was almost strategic, as if orchestrated by God. It's as if Lucifer one upped God and got to choose his prize. "I will take Stock market crash, October 2008."

A low approval rating for Bush, combined with a country tired of a five year old war, Obama looks like a breath of fresh air.  That is in fact the message he comes in singing.  He capitalizes on the fetid air of our country; who wouldn't.

Saul Alinsky, one of Obama's mentors and teachers taught that to form a revolution you need to work with the people at the grassroots level, and find an environment of despair, lack of hope, anger, loss of vision for the future.  In my own words, the people need to be looking for deliverance from their unchangeable and utterly deplorable circumstances.  They need a messiah like figure who can come in and sweep them up and carry them across the ocean into a better and brighter world. Below is  an excerpt form Alinsky's book.

In Rules for Radicals, Alinsky outlines his strategy in organizing, writing in the prologue,

"There's another reason for working inside the system. Dostoevski said that taking a new step is what people fear most. Any revolutionary change must be preceded by a passive, affirmative, non-challenging attitude toward change among the mass of our people. They must feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and change the future. This acceptance is the reformation essential to any revolution. To bring on this reformation requires that the organizer work inside the system, among not only the middle class but the 40 per cent of American families - more than seventy million people - whose income range from $5,000 to $10,000 a year [in 1971]. They cannot be dismissed by labeling them blue collar or hard hat. They will not continue to be relatively passive and slightly challenging. If we fail to communicate with them, if we don't encourage them to form alliances with us, they will move to the right. Maybe they will anyway, but let's not let it happen by default."
Obama found his revolutionary people in the Trinity Church, and his grassroots are planted firmly in the cement of Chicago.  He has Reverend Jeremiah Wright doing his dirty work, rabble-rousing the people making sure they felt trampled on, held down by the foot of the white man. Meanwhile he used the corruption of the Chicago machine to do what he needed, to get where he needed to go.

Obama was right their, with his hanky, and his shoulder, and his many logos for many people, ready to hear the cries of the many people.  Obama hears you, your fight is his fight!  I mean you too Selma!

Obama is not a uniter, a bringer of peace, he is a radical, a rebel and a leader with a cause.

Saul Alinsky said, The Prince was written by Machiavelli for the Haves on how to hold power.
Rules for Radicals is written for the Have-Nots on how to take it away".

I think Obama would have made him VERY PROUD.

IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Lawsuits filing in Eight States Seeking to Require Barack Obama to Provide Certification of Birth in U.S. before the Presidential election

Lawsuits Starting Across the Nation Proceeding to Avert Potential Constitutional Crisis, Possible Civil Unrest, and Confidence in Elections; Lawsuits are being filed in Eight States Seeking to Require Barack Obama to Provide Certification of Birth in U.S. Or Be Removed as Presidential Candidate on State Ballots.
.
Seattle WA. 10/22/2008 - Lawsuits in eight states as of this writing- Hawaii, Washington, California, Florida, Georgia. Pennsylvania, New York and Connecticut, are seeking judicial authority to force the certifying or decertifying of Senator Barack Obama's qualification to run as a candidate for President as a natural born U.S. Citizen. Previously, two lawsuits have failed to force the certifying documents from Obama.
.
Philip Berg's months-long lawsuit in Federal Court in Philadelphia reached a dramatic plateau yesterday as Mr. Obama and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) failed to respond to the court that Mr. Obama is not a natural born U.S. Citizen and therefore not qualified to run for office of President of the U.S. They admitted to Obama's non-qualification by their failure to respond to a 30-day court ordered discovery in which Obama and the DNC were ordered to answer a petition by Berg. Berg is a lifelong Democrat in the Pennsylvania Democratic Party who has sought to ratchet up the legal pressure as Obama and the DNC has continually delayed providing certifying documentation of Obama's birth, which he claims to have been in Hawaii.
.
A lawsuit in Honolulu in the First District Court is seeking a court-order to open Obama's secret birth records. Obama has thus far neglected a Freedom of Information request for the records at two hospitals in Hawaii. Lawsuits in Washington and Georgia are seeking state Superior Courts to force the states' Secretary of State, as the chief state elections officer, to perform their state constitutional duties to require original certifying birth records from Mr. Obama that would verify his birth in Hawaii.
.
Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution reads: ""No Person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States at the time of the adoption of this constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the age of thirty five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States."
.
There are numerous allegations to Obama's claim of natural birth in the U.S. On the web and in the media, all raising suspicion and doubt as to Obama's actual place of birth and qualification to run for president. Some of the assertions to which Obama "admitted" on Berg's suit are: he was born in Mombassa, Kenya in 1961 while his mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, was married to Barack Obama Sr., a Kenyan; when his mother, divorced from Obama Sr, moved to Indonesia and married Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian, Obama was adopted by Soetoro and became an Indonesian citizen; while in Indonesia, Obama had his name changed to Barry Soetoro; Obama traveled to Pakistan in 1981 under an Indonesian passport when Pakistan was a no travel zone for Americans; Obama had "admitted" to receiving illegal contributions in his campaign for president. Additionally, there is an allegation that Obama's Kenyan grandmother claims that Obama was born in Kenya; Muammar Gadhafi, leader of Libya, has publicly claimed that Obama was born in Kenya and studied in Muslim schools in Indonesia. Obama has also "admitted" to hold citizenship in another country (the U.S. Constitution forbids dual citizenship).
.
Non-partisan and independent reviews and examinations of Obama's birth certificate as shown on his official website has evidence of tampering and in any case does not list any of the points of information commonly found which would make it traceable and verifiable such as hospital, doctor, size weight, foot prints etc.
.
Interestingly, all these state lawsuits would be dropped if Mr. Obama would simply provide the requested documents supporting his claim of being born in Hawaii.
.
Lawsuits in additional states are being added each day. For more information about each lawsuit, contact:

Berg Vs. Obama et al. Admissions Deemed Admitted

Berg has expedited motions with the court now seeking to have all the requests for Admission deemed admitted, and a motion for Summary Judgment.

Requests for admission demand you deny or admit that question or statement.  They have the singular advantage over other discovery requests in that if not answered, they are deemed admitted.

If Obama is ordered to admit or deny and he does not; or he just fails to answer and there is no protective order in place, the statements are admitted, which means he is deemed BORN IN KENYA.  NOT A CITIZEN.  A CITIZEN OF INDONESIA, NOT ELEGIBLE FOR PRESIDENCY.

Berg then goes a head a files a summary judgment motion, which he already has, claiming that by the admitted requests for admission there are no further issues of fact necessary to grant a judgment, there is no dispute - give me the judgment now.

While this is legal maneuvering, it appears that Obama did not obtain his protective order yet.  There being no protective order in place, and the time for discovery responses having run, a court could conceivably indicate that the admissions are deemed admitted and Obama has been found to not be a citizen within the constitution, hence Judgment for Berg.  There is more to it than that, but just the filing of protective order doesn't necessarily stop the time to respond to discovery.

As to who is responsible for ascertaining a presidential candidates eligibility, I would assume either the DNC must warrant that fact, or the FEC(Federal Election Commission) would be responsible.  If neither is, then we have a huge glaring hole in our process, which would be a Federal Question within the jurisdiction of the District Court, and any citizen should be able to bring it before the court.  Interesting, since the FEC appears to be trying to get out of the lawsuit by saying they have not duty to ascertain eligibility

Berg Vs. Obama et al Part 3 the indonesian connection

Berg further indicates that under 8 USC 1481(a)(1)  when Obama became Indonesian, he gave up his citizenship, and could only re-obtain it by renouncing the Indonesian citizenship when he turned 18, and by taking proper measures to regain his U.S. citizenship.  He says pursuant to 1481(b), the burden is upon Obama to prove that he is a citizen, something he has not and cannot do.  In support, Berg indicates that Obama was still traveling on an Indonesian passport in 1981 when he was 20 years old, which lends the strong inference that he had after 18 again affirmed his allegiance to Indonesia, thus preventing him from having U.S. Citizenship.  Taking  an  oath  or  making  an affirmation  or  other  formal  declaration  of  allegiance  to  a  foreign  state...after  having attained the age of  eighteen years provides loss of nationality by native born citizens, 8 USC §1481(a)(2).

Berg then claims under 5 USC 552 (FOIA) Freedom of Information Act, that anyone denied information there under has standing to sue regardless of his reasons.  Again citing Atkins, he discusses how a voter suffers a particularized injury if he is deprived of useful information at the time he votes.

Berg also cites 28 USC 1343 under Civil Rights an Elective Franchise, stating Plaintiff  has  the  right  to  secure  equitable  relief under 28  U.S.C.  1343(a)(3)  and
(4).  In Baker v. Carr, 369 U.S. 186 (1962), federal jurisdiction arose under this section and Plaintiff had standing because his individual right to vote was affected.  Like many other United States citizens, Plaintiff  lost the opportunity  to vote in the general election for a qualified  Democratic  candidate,  because  Obama  withheld  information  critical  to determining his ineligibility for residency, knowing he was not a "natural born" citizen much  less  a  citizen  at  all  and  knowing  he  was  ineligible  to  serve  as  President  of  the United  States.    Based  on Obama's  fraud,  people  supported  him  instead  of  an  eligible candidate.

Berg isn't finished yet, citing 28 USC 1331 and a case for the proposition that if there is a question of Federal law or the Constitution, the Federal Court has jurisdiction, even if the issue of law has already been decided.  He says this is clearly a constitutional issue for which there is no specific constitution redress, i.e. the Constitution is silent on who has the authority to resolve disputes as to presidential candidate eligibility and or determination of compliance with the law on that issue.  There is in fact no statute, law, or case that discusses how a voter can demand proof of presidential eligibility when the DNC and FEC refuse to do their job.  This, he claims is the first time in history this "Federal Question" has arisen, and the Constitution generally guarantees a remedy.

Berg then goes into details of his causes of action and why they are viable causes of action.
Obama's motion is quite short with only a few cases and statutes.  Berg makes a long and detailed argument for standing, and is quite persuasive.  However, Obama's attorneys have the right to file a Reply brief to rebut Berg's arguments,

Berg Vs. Obama et al, Part 2 Obtaining the documents

Berg essentially turns it around and says the the Hollander case helps him not hurts him.  It should be noted that Berg amended his complaint and creatively added some cause of action in personal injury and fraud.

Berg then moves on to 5 USC 702 (U.S.Codes) saying that he tried to obtain the documents from the DNC and FEC, he and others asked them to investigate and were ignored.  He claims under this section that he can thus add the U.S. or federal authority as a party because they failed to take any action or investigate Obama, let alone the $400 million he has obtained through campaign contributions.  He then bootstraps that to 2 USC 437(c ) and (d) essentially indicating that since those statutes provide the authority for the DNC and FEC to require Obama to provide the documents and answer the questions, and since they have not, they have neglected their duties and can be civilly sued under the 702 section.  If Obama was not legally able to prove his status under 437(g), then he has perpetrated a fraud on the American people and the government, by collecting the said $400 million.  He then says "When  Congress  confers  standing  on  litigants,  the  generalized  grievance constriction does not apply.   Congress confers standing on any individual who has been aggrieved by  the  denial  of  information  required  to  be  furnished  pursuant  to Statute.    It matters not that most people are or will be entitled and suffer a "generalized grievance",  the statutory entitlement is sufficient.  FEC v. Akins, 524 U.S. 11 (1998)."

The Akins case specifically indicates that the voters have standing to seek and enforcement action if the FEC doesn't do their job after being asked to do so.  It goes on to discuss that if the harm is traceable to the refusal to act by the FEC and the courts can correct the "redress", the standing is conferred.  That case also indicates that even the harm may be widely shared, it is still "concrete."

Berg Vs. Obama et al. (Part One)

Many people are still unaware of the pending lawsuit filed by Phillip Berg. A Former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania for eight years and Civil Rights attorney.

Mr Berg alleges that Obama is NOT a Natural Born Citizen.

Obama's motion to dismiss is based upon the idea that any voter does not have proper standing because his injury is not certain as it is not individual to him.  Obama's attorneys cite some cases including one where McCain was sued by a voter and it is claimed that the lawsuit was dismissed because of the lack of standing.  In their argument, the Obama attorneys argument sounds pretty compelling, especially when they make it sound like the Hollander v. McCain case is right on point, is precedent.

Berg opposes the motion to dismiss and distinguishes the Hollander v. McCain case on a number of bases.
    1.  The McCain suit was in the primaries where the voter could still vote for another candidate so it was not a restriction on voter's rights.  Here in the main election, Obama was the only Democratic candidate, hence Berg is completely disenfranchised as he cannot vote for a viable Democratic candidate (he is life long democrat).
    2.  The harm claimed "standing alone, would adversely affect only the generalized interest of all  citizens  in  constitutional  governance", but in Berg's case is  particular  to  him  because  he has  been  denied  the  constitutional  right  to  vote  for  an  eligible  candidate.
    3.  Plaintiff in Hollander didn't claim any personal injury traceable to the McCain's conduct, while Berg claims that he was injured by Obama's activist basically holier than thou attitude, as Plaintiff has been verbally attacked, vilified, etc, all traceable to Obama's fraud (a cause of action)
McCain was "unquestionably an American citizen," something that Obama has not and cannot prove (as alleged).

The Audacity Of Lost Hope

I have had the pleasure of debating today's issues with possibly one of the most ignorant people online.

It all started with a long email chain that was an ongoing debate of what is okay and not okay to talk about regarding Obama.

I am going to cut and past that transcript here so people can see the idiocy of some of Americans.  It is sad that this is what we are faced with.

From S. Engram
You know, I have been reading comments and hearing opinions from everyone and everybody. So, I will make this short and sweet.  It is a shame to discuss a person's background to determine a person is African American or some other culture.  It is a shame to discuss someone who is allready DEAD, but still conversing a situation what someone did or did not do.  What is wrong with ya'll!!!

The subject that should be discussing is what your thoughts and opinions on the president nominees and what they are going to do for THIS country in the next four years.  Who cares about the other stuff.  End Quote

My response:
"As to the response by S. Engram  regarding not speaking about a person once they are dead, and not speaking about a persons past because it is "Shameful"  I must respectfully disagree.

I believe it is our duty to examine every aspect of the potential candidates life, including his familial influences because this is who has shaped the man and especially because Obama has so very little track record to go on, we are actually FORCED to look back in order to examine who he is.

Do you expect us to simply determine the appropriate candidate based on their proposals for the future?  That is preposterous!

Bill Clinton said he would not raise taxes on the middle class.  (after being elected it took him 5 days!) No Tax Raises

The Clinton ticket plants questions.  How sneaky can you get? Planted Question

After denying having an affair for months John Edwards was forced to admit the truth once he was backed into a corner.  John Edwards Finally Admitting he lied

Reverend Wright one of the most racist pastors in AMERICA today married Obama, and baptized his kids.  This is akin to having McCain being Married by the KKK.  Say what you like but when a man says GOD DAMN AMERICA, GOD DAMN WHITE MEN they are the devil, that  man is EVIL.  A person cannot decide to run for the presidency and then because his view are so radical as to not be accepted by mainstream, denounce the man that essentially guided him his WHOLE ADULT LIFE.  A persons foundation is what it is!

I implore you to watch the video of Obama double talk his way out of the Rev. Wright Debacle. The most amazing double talk ever

This is
unconscionable, an utter disgrace.  This man is a compulsive liar.  His lies are so numerous, you cannot even come close to compiling a list of lies by all the primary candidates combined to match the sheer number of lies he has purported.

On Obama get a feeling for the Obama nation by watching Obama change his words like he changes his socks.  Disgusting.  I swear if he gets elected I will protest.Obama Lies?

How sickening is this, at the end of this clip the one adviser states that perhaps Obama will get through the Primary with this double talk, but will not be able to fool us int eh General election.  Sadly the people cannot keep track of his lies.  They are so numerous, everyone gets so confused.  He is so smooth, he makes a lie look like butter.  Obama makes slick Willy look like sand paper.

there is so much more.

From S. Engram;

Your thoughts and opinions are you own, just like mine is.  And since you and everyone on this list is speaking out, so can I.   If we want to talk history fine then so be it.  I am for neither McCain or Obama, for I THINK they are both idiots who wants to sit on a throne called the White House.  If anyone has TIME to watch all those youtubes you presented on here, then some of you must have more time on your hands than I do, or maybe your days are longer than mine.

Since you have mention faith, there are some who need to get there priorites straight. This goes for me also.  The endtimes are here and America is going down, no matter WHO is in office.

Oh, I RESPECTFULLY have to say, that I seen BOTH sides and heard BOTH sides at the debate, and my conclusion, both are idiots.  I think I have all ready mention this.

"Clearly you care deeply about the state of America and have lost hope for our future.  Sadly you see both candidates as idiots.  I am not sure if you are aware of it but I am afraid that you are the only person calling both candidates Idiots, so either you are brilliant and we are all dumb or you are a dumb and we are seeing the candidates as the bright men that they are.  Make no mistake, to be a liar one must not be an idiot, one must only be foolish.

Quote "Since you have mention faith, there are some who need to get there(sic) priorites (sic) straight. This goes for me also"  I assume you mean Obama and therefore I assume you then mean you attend the church of rev. Wright as well?

I say this because as far as I can see there are no other faith issues on the table.

Furthermore if you consider the White House a "throne" I am concerned you may be an ESL speaker, as it would technically be impossible for a house to be a throne.  I think an ESL speaker might confuse that, (house vs throne easy mistake) as well as the concept of monarchy (king) and democracy (President)

That being said I can only encourage you to keep up your comments as this is great practice for your budding language skills and your growing global understanding.  Thank you for sharing your passionate views!

I would ask you to reconsider your affiliation with the Reverends church though, as nothing productive comes from racism.

With much respect,
Traci Martin"

The faith issue was put on the table concernng of Obama being Muslim.  If you did not know Muslim is a form of faith or religion if you preferr.

The next time you want to call someone a racist, you better have your facts straight.  I am NOT a racist and you do not know me to name me that.  I have not call you any form of name and I would appreciate if you do the same. "

From Richard
S. Engram, are you saying to subscribe the the church of Reverend Wright? You calling yourself a racist? No one else called YOU that only those who follow the preachings of Reverend Wright, and if (as they say) the shoe fits, then it doesn't mean you get to marry the prince...

Now there is another angle to all this - remember that we don't know anything that does not come in some way, either directly or indirectly from the media. Even http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/ these guys. Since we don't know anything that is direct, unless we were their, it's all "bent" depending on where we get our news. We should all recall our Critical Thinking and Rules of Rhetoric that come into play heavily at this time in our four-year political cycle.

None of us want to repeat things that are hurtful or without basis, and when the basis turns out to be wron
g - we need to be big enough to stand by our statements and then move on with the added bonus of the experience
.

From T. Avent

Related to the other questions, I would have a few also:

1) what is meant by the phrase "...End Times..."? What END is this? Is "TIME" over with after that, and if so, what happens then? Is this one of those "theo-apocalyptic" models where Jesus comes again, and everything stops? What, then happens in "Heaven"? If there is no "time" there can be no sense of oneself (in any culturally recognizable sense) so it rather follows that there would be no perception of "reward" for whatever self-sacrifice on this earthly plane had been offered up.

2) what is meant by "...America is going down..."? Down WHERE? Is this a fire-and-brimstone speech? Please explain the place where America goes. I gather from those who subscribe to theology like this, that "America" is somehow inherently BLESSED by God, and that it will not go "Down". Perhaps this person thinks otherwise? Why did we go to such trouble to put religious slogans on our money (the one thing apparently closest to our collective hearts)?

3) I generally share Traci's discomfort with the "Throne" model. It all rather smacks of the classic confusion "God is King" and "King is God" which was so prevalent during the years that the KJV was written. In no means would "Jesus" have agreed with anything of the kind. He was anti-status-quo and a perceived threat to all who held political power. He held that divine right lay exclusively with God, not any King. The term "King" was attributed to Jesus long after his death, and I do not think he would
have approved of it, given his teachings while he lived.

From Traci Martin
To the Person using the email of S. Engram
It is fairly well established that when someone makes a statement such as you made regarding faith, one that has no specifics, and is not only broad but barely coherent, one must assume for the sake of continuing the conversation that said person made such a statement in response to the numerous points as were laid out in the previous email message;  the very message that you responded directly to.  Nowhere in that message was there the mention of Islam or of Osama being a Muslim.  I am very well schooled in Theology, and rest assured I do know that Islam is a religion, but not a faith.  As someone could follow the principles of Islam without faith.  Of course faith is crucial to its success, but this is inherent in all religions, no? Furthermore, you may be interested to know that a person who follows the Islam religion is a Muslim.  One cannot follow the Muslim religion, nor can a person be an Islam. (they can be however, Islamic)

I also assure you my views are much broader than yours.  I need not assume to know this. I need only to read your emails.

In closing, I never called you a racist, I simply said racism does not lead to anything productive. Your application of my label racist to you, does support the claim that at the very least you share my belief that Reverend Wrights church is racist. (Yay ) However, you never did dispute your affiliation with the church.  I am sorry but I must ASSume any member of that church follows the teachings and is therefore racist.  Your statement of not knowing somebody therefore not being able to call them a racist is also incorrect.  If I said I was a member of the KKK would you ASSume I was a racist?

Don't be naive.

Traci Martin
Oh look I can sign my name

S.Engram

You stated: "However, you never did dispute your affiliation with the church.  I am sorry but I must ASSume any member of that church follows the teachings and is therefore racist"

Just because someone is part of that group or affiliated with it does not mean they share the same ideas.  It does not matter if it is just one person or a small number.  I pity you, that you cannot understand or can you?

Reverand Wright made himself a spectacle in front of viewers and his followers. Then people should label him and only him.  You do not know what goes on behind the scenes.  No one does.  So if you want to put a name on someone, an individual, than that is your right.  However, it is not fair to that person who you put a name too.

As for the question regarding the KKK, no I would not label you a racist.  But I would not trust you in the slightest.

Oh look, I can humble myself.

Dear Oh Look I can Humble Myself,
I must admit you have won this one.  A world that is coming to an end, where affiliation with the KKK does not make you racist, where you hold an affiliation with a radical group but expect people to not attribute those beliefs systems to you.  Both our presidential candidates are idiots, the White House is a Monarchy.  What more can we ask for to get the second coming of Christ.

It doesn't take a lot of stupidity to irritate me, it takes a lot of stupidity to sadden me.  I am glad you are not voting. Creatures (are you even a creature) are not worthy of the liberties afforded to citizens in this country.

You are a hypocrite, saying that we should look only at what a candidate can do for us in the future in one message, and in another message, you shout, both are idiots, I am not wasting my time I have seen enough.  I am not voting for either.  I am sure you would make your forefathers proud.  Of course, all that spilt blood so you could have a voice doesn't matter to you does it, because you are so egocentric all you can see is that you don't understand the world and the way it is, so you pout, rather than make an attempt to educate yourself by election time. (granted that's a lot to ask in a month).

The really ironic thing is that it is exactly people like you who watch the debates and the content is so far over your head, all you hear is a bunch of babbling.  You give up in confusion and declare America a wash.  God will fix it all.  That's what good Christians do right, when there is no hope?  Let GOD take over?
Maybe you can vote for GOD!  Oh wait, good for you GOD is running this year his name is Obama.

What you do not understand, is that when a presidential candidate follows the teachings of a man who preaches Black Liberation Theology (Look It UP) for his ENTIRE adult life, is married in the church, has his kids baptized in the church, he is saying to the world "I follow the teachings of this THEOLOGY".  That is how people PICK their churches.  YES, what I am afraid YOU don't understand (or do you) is that by affiliation, you are attributed the teachings of the Church you attend.  I DO have the time to assess the person that will be leading my country.  Maybe you think it is worthless but I have 3 (THREE) siblings that are United States Marines.  My little baby sister will be deploying for the second time to Iraq in January.  I Do care about the moral ethics of the person who is going to be negotiating with the terrorists, and megalomaniacs in the Middle East, HELL YES.  A persons Religious Affiliations matter greatly to how the rest of the world perceives our future President.  If they see him as Muslim, that has repercussions, if they see him as Christian that has repercussions, it all matters.  It matters to someone somewhere.  http://tracidmartin.smugmug.com/photos/56681615_qiVPh-M.jpg

If you are a Mormon, you are called a Mormon.  If you are a catholic, it is assumed you believe in Jesus and Mary and God, and it is assumed that you go to confession.  If you are Jewish, it is assumed that you believe that (you believe) you are one of the chosen ones.  If you are Muslim it is assumed that you do not eat pork, If you are a man and you say I am getting married, it would be assumed that it is to a woman unless you live in West Hollywood or San Fransisco. In which case WHO KNOWS?

If you are in the KKK it is assumed that you are a white supremacist.  Tell me why on this earth would you (Not that you could) but why would you be a KKK member if you were not racist?  Are you aware that the KKK is a Political Organization?  It is not a religion.  You cannot join based on some love of God or other non-sense.  It is about white Christian men Oppressing Jews, Blacks, Catholics and any other minorities that may get in their way.  It is the Nazi of America.

You are sticking your head in the sand because you are intellectually overwhelmed by the politics of today, you don't see a solution so like you said America is Going Down.

With people like you here, we have a great start.  I am a volunteer for my political party.  What do you do to help your country?  Whats that?  Nothing? May I suggest you move to France.

From Troy:

I just enjoy watching the fireworks.

From Traci Martin

some people enjoy watching, an admirable hobby, some enjoy razzing, a personal favorite of mine. And one thing is certain, anyone can be anything they want in theory.

When people are not willing to verify the facts, I can be a doctor if I want RICHARD.

Caution Conversation becomes really nonsensical here
I disagree that America is going down simply because M-theory does not support that hypothesis. Furthermore, it has passed many tests of internal mathematical consistency, which many other attempts to combine quantum mechanics and gravity failed. Unfortunately, until we can find a way to mechanically observe higher dimensions (impossible with our current level of technology) M-Theory has a very difficult time making predictions which can be tested in a laboratory. Technologically, it may never be possible for it to be "proven."  whether or not America is "Going Down" until that happens. Then again we have Obama so anything is possible.

So with that,

I bid you good night

From Richard

Uh....they are doing that now, in the EU Traci. The CERN Hadron Super collider is only 1/3 as powerful as a super conducting one would have been, but when they build this in space (and they will...) we get to see just what things really are... if we live.

One, single political party in the US is so hobbled by the press and the other government entities that we don't really have a worry. Besides, the worst thing I can think of is a return to MA
D and someone pushes the buttons on both sides. Then we get to see about this Revelations stuff...first han
d.

From Joe

Uh....don't hold your breath waiting, Richard.  Even if the energies that can be reached by CERN are sufficient to discover super symmetry (a basic as-yet unproven string-theory concept), this result alone will not establish that string theory (the basic building-block of M-Theory) is correct.   There are other competing theories which would still be consistent with this result.  On the other hand, it may take orders of magnitude more energy than the CERN Collider can produce to even get such results, so failure to discover super symmetry will not disprove M-Theory either.   Taking all things into consideration, I think it is quite reasonable for Traci to say "it may never be possible for it to be proven."
Yes, "never" is a long time, but she said "may" never be possible for it to be proven, so she still has an "out" if they do prove it.

And with that. My point remains, that we can be whomever we want, because so long as people choose to ignore the past of a person, we can be Astro-physicists Dr.s of Economics, Or just Plain Idiots.

Guns and Butter, a new Great Society for 2009 or is it?

Warfare, rioting, assassinations; this is what comes to mind when we think of America in the mid-1960s, with Lyndon Johnson as President.

Concerned with him grand vision of the "Great  Society" Johnson was much like Obama and his dream "A Time For Change"  In fact, while Johnson put in place the infrastructure for this great society, Obama dreams to pump even more money into it.  Obama sees  this society as flailing.  Pay no mind to the low unemployment, low bankruptcy rates, don't be fooled by the wall street crises.  This was the doing of Democrats like Obama, who voted to pour more money into mortgages with no down payment necessary.  Giving money to people essentially getting the middle class into debt that they could not afford.  Shame on them.

LBJ dreamt of a society that took care of all people, and great strides were made.  At the same time, with great strides, comes great sacrifices; riots, racial division, hate crimes, assinations.

It makes me shudder to hear Obama speak, to see the masses well up in hope of a new future.  What more do we want?

More freedom for minorities ?  Less Restrictions at our borders? More money for Education?

LBJ said we could have both guns and butter.  Essentially food at home and security over seas.

Eerily Obama promises the same thing.  Kill Osama Bin Laden, Control Afghanistan, Control Iraq, Control Pakistan, Create new forms of Power, Health care for all.  End the war. Promise Promise Promise.

What happened when we were promised it all?  We lost.  We lost the war, we had tax raises.  We had emotional turmoil.

During a time of war, it is not a time to promise butter.  It is a time to tighten the belt.  Get the war over.  And then start putting money back into America, back to the people where it belongs.

But it is never possible to have it all.  This is history.  The reason we study history is to learn from our mistakes.

Lets start learning.

The Problem With Voting For Obama

Doesn’t everyone know a person who has been a cheater and a liar? Then something happens and this person is reformed. Maybe they cheat on their girlfriend or lose their job. Or perhaps they just apply for a new job and their previous track record doesn’t look good. In fact, if anyone asked there are no good references to support their qualification to hold this position. Maybe a girl who is a rock solid atheist sees a Christian man she likes and decides that she must recreate herself as a Christian so she can get her foot in the door. "Date me" she says, "I can be the best Christian girlfriend you have ever had. Because I am new to the religion it is a passion of mine, and I am very devoted to the way of life of Christianity. I am not just a Christian by birth, but one by choice."

"Don’t judge my past," She tells him. "Look to the future, to what I can become. " “I have seen the light.”   Of course, she didn’t see that light until she met him last week. Look past the fact that she was affiliated with devil worship for two years. Look past her lobbying to get the name of God taken off all currency. Look past her leadership in the "Atheist for a Stronger America", until Last week, when she denounced them, and declared that she wants nothing to do with them. People can change, Right? He is a believer; he wants to believe in goodness.

A few months into the relationship, as things start to deteriorate, she starts to argue with him about the reality of the existence of God. He has faith. She tries to convert him. Eventually she reverts to her fundamental position that no higher power exists. He cannot change her mind she has faith also.

He must break off the relationship feeling betrayed, having wasted time and emotional energy with someone who was not what she portrayed herself to be. Did she ever have the intention to become a Christian? Perhaps she did. Probably she did not. The problem with liars is they lose track of their lies, and forget why they started lying in the first place.

With politicians, it is not different. We should not bet our lives on someone based on “Promises backed by a new understanding." It wiser to bet on someone who has a viewable track record. Someone who says “Look at what I stand for.”

If we vote for the candidate based on the promise of a new future, what do we lose when the candidate goes back to his fundamental belief system?

Judge the candidates based on what they have supported in the past years, despite their requests that we neglect their bad judgments. This is who they are. This is who they will be.

There is only one way to decide this election.

Not only do politicians lie during elections to get votes, but politicians promise things that they simply cannot deliver. We do not know what can and cannot be delivered.

Therefore, we must vote for the person, not the promises.

Presidentail candiates cannot gaurantee that they come through with their promises, nor do they necessarily mean what they say.

The Problem With Foriegn Affairs Debates and the General Public

People are stupid.

if that offends you stop here.

McCain made logical arguments regarding what needed to be done in Iraq, and other middle Eastern countries, while Obama babbled a bunch of Hoo Ha.

Obama evaded the real issues such as why he hasn't been to Afghanistan in his 900 days as the head of the committee, while he tried to point out how he would focus on Afghanistan as a key strategy in controlling the issues in the Middle east.  One has to wonder if he has not been successful in heading the Committee not, why would his ideas work later?

The problem I see is that to the average Jack and Jill, who don't understand foreign policy, don't understand how foreign relations tie to our economy, and who all these people with all these weird names from all these weird places are.  McCain was rattling off an Impressive list of data, but it was meaningless if you didn't know what it meant.

What does matter in watching a debate, in which you do not understand the contents being debated, it can be compared to watching a debate in a foreign language.  All the viewer sees is as much as they can understand.

In this case, they can identify body language.  They can see confident speech, hesitation, stammering.  The can see repetitiveness.  The see polish and charisma.  But most importantly, they understand when the debaters dumb themselves down for a few seconds and speak to them.  Again promising a brilliant and hopeful future.  Not a secure past.  Not the ability to lead us into a secure future, but they love to see stars in their eyes, believe that their leader is so powerful that he can bring to fruition his promises.

Sadly, a large part of the democratic party is comprised of people who are uneducated and of less than average intelligence .  Sadly also, when they make up the majority, we have the uneducated less than average intelligent masses deciding the state of our future.

I would love to see a poll on the IQ of every voter, based on party affiliation.  That would be something.

I am discouraged by last night.  I  can't wait to be lead by a nation of idiots.

And before anyone bothers to note Obama's school grades, or McCain's placement in his class, it is irrelevant.  Clearly Obama is very smart.  I am talking about general public here, not the potential President.

Sigh.

A Nation Of Idiots?

Michael Medved is asking callers today about their feelings on Mccain's request to postpone the debate on Friday so that he and Senator Obama can head to Washington to work out a solution to the potential economic crisis that our Nation faces.

I am floored by the number of callers that think McCain has done this as a ploy, and that he should stay out of the economic situation.  Do people think when a senator goes on the campaign trail, he or she stops being a senator?

It is as if people are looking for a reason to boo McCain for political decisions they don't support.

If people were thinking clearly they would see that, as Mr. Medved pointed out, whatever is passed with regards to the economic bail out, Mr. Obama as well as Mr. McCain both stand to gain if they create a favorable solution for the country.

If Mr Obama has so much interest in having the people be reimbursed for this huge bail out, then why is he not in Washington working on that?  Probably because like always, Obama is full of hot air, and when it comes time to put up or shut up, Mr. Obama has to shut up, because he really has nothing valid to offer up.

Raising Kids Is Hard To Do

I wrote this piece for my other blog almost a year ago today, October 5 2007 actually.

My 9th grader is in school finally, after I worked like hell to get her in a different school than our home school. Story follows.

My six year old, after being tested for second grade, and academically being ready, is being placed in first grade on the schools recommendation.  I am fine with this and am happy to go with the schools decision, because he seems to fit in there. The teachers will have to work their pants off to keep him challenged, but that's their job.

And... After having my kindergartner in kindergarten for a month, I pulled her out today.

She was just almost 5 when she started, and despite being academically ready, she is a firecracker, and when she doesn't want to do something, she doesn't.

The teacher told me "She is the only student I have that is academically able to do the work, but totally unwilling. she just lays her head on the table." So after much deliberation and stress, I decided to pull her out of Kindergarten, and keep her back for that extra year.

Technically in many states, she would not have been allowed to start kindergarten this year, but CA law, lets kids enroll up to the day of December 2.

Yes, I am suffering a lot of stress. Yes I am unsure of my choices.

DAMMIT. I pulled my 9th grader from the school and friends she has grown up with, because of the influence they were having on her, and the stress they were causing her. SO MUCH DRAMA. I have disliked these kids since the 2nd grade. I blame myself, that I wasn't more proactive in getting her to find other friends, because she kept gravitating back to the same people. Granted she went to a really small school. But still, I could have done more.

Well, whats done is done, I am trying to change it now, before her high school years are ruined.

As for Severin my first grader, well, I really believe he will be better off being held back. He is a first grader reading 7th grade level. But it's more important that he is socially well rounded. Academically, he will always be ahead. Skipping a year isn't going to change that. But it will make him the smallest kid in class, and the youngest kid, and the smartest geekiest kid.

I don''t want that. I am not a supermom, looking for superkids.

I am a regular mom, looking for happy kids. Kids that can read big books, but also play soccer, and baseball with the other kids at recess. Kids that have appropraite boundaries for their age.  Kids that have friends that are not destructive.

I want Annika to LIKE kindergarten, not throw a fit everyday when she goes. If she starts out hating school now, when is that going to change?

That's like the dating dilemma, it is always the best in the beginning. If it isn't good then, you may as well forget it.

Yes, I am writing this to convince myself. I lost a lot LOT LOT of sleep over all these decisions, and they may seem trivial, but they set the future up for my kids.

I take my role very seriously. Maybe too much so.

on an up note, my oldest is doing well in college

Obamacide?

I had a chat with my "Flor" my housekeeper/nanny today.  She has worked for me for 6 years.  She is here legally, on a work permit from El Salvador. I don't especially need her, but she has become a part of our family, she is very dependable, honest and treats our kids with the type of care that is hard to find.  Being that she is not a citizen she will not be voting, but her brother will be.  I asked her today "Is your brother voting for Obama?"
"Yes." She answered.  "That's too bad." I said.

A budget cut in the White House means a budget cut in the Martin house.  My husband is self employed, and has a few employees. We have four kids, one in college, one in high school, one in second grade and one in Kindergarten.  They all live under our roof all the time.

In the event that we have an Obamanation we will have to cut back, and as much as we value Flor, we will not be able to continue to employ her.  She was hired when I had a newborn, a one year old, and my husband was in ICU after having two neck surgeries in 2 months.  She was a necessity then, and was kept on as a luxury.  Our gardener, Jose we might as well say adios now. My 19 year old Rick will be earning his keep by doing the yard work from now on.  Of course Rick will probably lose his job too.  I explained to Flor, how Obama is great news for all the welfare people who sit at home and don't work while collecting numerous forms of government money.  But for her and all her friends who ride the bus that goes from Redondo Beach to Los Angeles everyday; the car wash attendants, gardeners, laborers, maids, nannies, they will feel the economic earthquake. It will hit them just as hard as the upper class.

The people on the bus hear only that Obama is going to send businesses out of business.  They assume that that means bigger businesses. They cannot comprehend that this would touch their lives in any way.  They see themselves as too small.  It is a form of denial or ignorance.  Obama is burying the very people he is preaching to.

He is depending on their ignorance to win their vote.  More money for the poor sounds like the obvious choice to them.  Voting to protect the upper class is counter intuitive.  Even though it will ensure their economic future. For a class of people that find it hard to trust the upper class, voting their to put their lives in their hands is frightening.  Obama is the best wolf in sheeps clothing we have seen in a long time.  Too bad he isn't running wild in Alaska.

Who's Afraid Of The Big Bad Sarah Palin

Do you hate Sarah Palin? I hear this question repeatedly. It’s the topic of countless talk radio-shows. I know some Sarah Palin haters and have witnessed firsthand the emotion that is fueling the fire.

I don’t hate Sarah but there is a large pool of women who do, that seem unable to tap into why. Educated women can cite political reasons and back up their feelings with valid reasons. Other woman, (like myself) non-political, still feel strong feelings though, and one has to wonder why?

I think women’s disdane for Sarah is more complex, and runs deeper, into a nerve that many cannot understand. Ironically, women voters in 1984 were closer to the truth when they questioned their feelings about candidate Geraldine Ferraro. She posed a threat to American women everywhere; she made being a homemaker look weak. She made businesswomen, women who were fighting to climb the corporate ladder weak, because most were not as strong and savvy as she was; here was a woman in 1984, who presumably knew enough to run the country.

It was not every woman in 1984 that was up to date on the Iran-Iraq war.  Female voters quickly turned the other way and protectively said “She cannot possibly be good for the country.  She cannot possibly know enough.  Because if she does, it make the rest of us look bad.”

Currently, I think Sarah Palin brings up feelings of inadequacy for women on every level. Sarah Palin has raised the bar for women, and many don’t like that.  I have to defend my choice to be a stay at home mother.  That’s sad.  The height of the bar today, especially in The Left-Coast is you have kids, you put them in daycare and you work. It’s a competitive world and Sarah just laid down a full house. If you do less, well, you are taking the easy way out.  Working mothers are smarter stronger and all around better than stay at home moms.  This leads one to reason then that the more power a woman has in her position, the more she opens herself up to be a target, due to envy and jealousy;Palin does especially because she makes it look so damn easy.  Just today on the raido I heard a Palin supporter say  "Palin is every woman."    Basically she encompases everything that every woman stands for.  well I am here to say sorry but that is not true and that angers those people on the other side of the fence.

She is portrayed as an amazing a sort of Energizer Bunny-Mom. Someone who somehow runs a state, a devout Christian, has a special needs child, goes to her children’s Hockey Games, and goes to her husband’s snowmobile races. She said she cooks dinner at home.  Wow, she is a miracle woman.  But to a woman who supports womans rights to abortion, she is a let down.  Not a woman for womens rights.  To hear a woman on the raido say that Sarah Palin is Everything to everyone, well, I have to say, if I was on the other side, that would tick me off too.  In fact, it is that quality about Obama that I cannot stand.  The way people portray him as a saint, a savior, a guy who is a miracle.

The inherent problem in this viewor Palin as "Everywoman All the time" is that anyone with kids knows.  You cannot be all places at all times.  I am sorry but Sarah Palin cannot be Governor and room-mom at her kids’ school also.  I highly doubt that she leaves the office at 3:00 to pick her kids up from school. Todd Palin quit his job to do the things she cannot do, because she cannot be the Supermom, that everyone is painting her out to be.  Yes, I am sure she was at one time active in the PTA and hockey games, but she has adult children.  Is she an active PTA member right now? I highly doubt it, because she is busy with bigger issues, she is leading her state!

The point here is that you cannot group all of Sarah Palin's “accomplishments” as a mother, businesswoman, and politician, into the same time frame.  It makes her look too saintly, and people just don’t like that.  It is so easy to pick too saintly people apart. If you look at what she has done, and spread it over 18 or 20 years, you see a more realistic view.  She must make sacrifices as a mother to be Governor, but so does every businesswoman and businessman who has children.  She must also make priorities, as all parents of large families do. As long as her children have a parent at home stepping up to the plate, I do not see anything morally wrong with her choice to accept the nomination as Vice President.

I believe the hatred for Sarah Palin stems from the mistaken tendency to lump her life into a fishbowl and then judge her and their insecurity of people who misunderstand who and what she is.  If people stop comparing themselves and their own productivity to her, and look at what she has done over an appropriate time frame, they will see that she is not some monster in a red suit, with a shotgun and a baby.
